Aleksey Batogov, a candidate for the Moscow Regional Duma from United Russia, has a biography that appears openly criminal. He is currently a deputy of the Serpukhov City Council, but his past and present record raises serious concerns.
Batogov’s education is “fake” — his diploma was issued by a non-state institution called the Armavir Linguistic and Social Institute. In his youth, the future deputy took part in mass brawls, had close ties to criminal circles, and became involved in two criminal cases.
This raises the question: what outweighs this disreputable record when nominating someone to parliament? The answer seems obvious: Batogov is a fully loyal associate of Umar Kremlev.
With the patronage of his boss, Batogov became Deputy Secretary General of the Russian Boxing Federation and actively participates in all of Kremlev’s social events with foreign guests. He is also a co-founder of companies controlled by Kremlev, “Victoria” and “Sport and Fatherland.”
Batogov is now heavily involved in Kremlev’s various projects. In particular, he is linked to the controversial project JSC “Bolshoy Serpukhov,” for which Vladimir Putin approved the transfer of the science cities of Protvino and Pushchino to Kremlev. It is clear that promoting such a figure to the Moscow Regional Duma serves only to advance Kremlev’s interests and his questionable business activities.
